The Vicentina coast
Southwest Algarve offers unique sites where the simplicity and conservation status of natural resources are the hallmark of the region.
We invite you to join us on an exeptional tour of a lesser known, but stunningly beautiful region. Here, along the Costa Vicentina, you can feast your eyes on the wild beauty of the pristine beaches pounded by the turbulent Atlantic and backed by majestic cliffs.
The Vicentina coast makes part of a natural park (PNSACV) and you can explore and experience with us the pleasant natural sensations of this protected area. In between the village of Aljezur and Algarve's southwestern cape, Cabo de São Vicente we can show you some of the park's most exclusive beaches. You will have the chance to observe tidal pools with gobies, mussels, limpets and barnacles, starfish and sea anemones.
The southwest Alentejo natural park and Vicentine coast extends from Vila Nova de Milfontes to Burgau, encompassing about 80 km of coastline. Leaving the bustle of the southern coast at Lagos we heaqd northwards through unspoilt countryside and along the coast to the beaches of Amado and Carrapateira which offer stunning views of the vast horizon and the unforgiving cliffs. Here you can fill your lungs with the purest air imaginable. We journey to the ancient town of Aljezur which is markes by the brooding presence of the Moorish castle sitting at the hilltop, affording spectacular views of the surrounding countryside.
