Rota Vicentina - the fisherman's trail
For a long time the Vicentina Natural Park is well known amongst insiders for its wild beauty, biological diversity and natural value. Since the recent implementation of the Rota Vicentina, a long distance walking route through large parts of the natural park, many more people are getting impressed by the charming south western coast of Portugal. With reason it was elected one of 7 Portuguese natural wonders.
Itinerary
The best walking on the Rota Vicentina is done on the so called Fisherman's Trail. You are walking self guided on well marked trails. We support you and can take care of your luggage transport and basic accommodation in hotels or B&B. We suggest a 4 day, 5 night programme with the following stages.
Day 1. Porto Covo - Vila Nova de Milfontes, 20 km, 7 hrs
Day 2. Vila Nova de Milfontes - Almograve, 15 km, 5 hrs
Day 3. Almograve - Zambujeira do Mar, 22 km, 7 hrs
Day 4. Zambujeira do Mar - Odeceixe, 18 km, 7 hrs

- January - March: 390 euro
- April - June: 440 euro
- July - August: 480 euro
- September - October: 440 euro
- November - December: 390 euro
Bookings are based on 2 persons sharing a double or twin room, including breakfast.
It is possible to extend this programme by following the Historical Trail to the south or including some circular walks from the Fisherman's trail. Please send us an email for prices and possibilities.
